This charming work that looks more a statuette than a box has been created by Fedoskino artist Karina Kirsilyan. It continues the series of works made in the shape of different kinds of mushrooms. This time Karina has chosen to reproduce the big green capped "russule" mushroom, accompanied by two 'russule' mushrooms of a smaller size. The big mushroom's cap was partly eaten by worms. The work is supplemented with three-dimensional elements; the most laboriously done of them is a branch of the rowan tree covered with red bright berries and green-orange leaves. The top section of the big mushroom (its cap) opens on a hinge to reveal a small square compartment.
The work is signed with the artist's first name (Karina) on the bottom. An interesting box that may enrich any collection!
