This beautiful oval box is a creation of I. Morozova from the village of Fedoskino. It depicts the still life with flowers, fruits and a nest. The bouquet composed of garden and wild flowers is bright and fresh. Pink roses, white daisies, crimson tulips and tender, blue forget-me-nots surrounded with green leaves covered with morning dew look so impressive! Each flower, bud, tendril, and leave is painstakingly painted to achieve a realistic representation.
The bouquet is painted in bright oils against the dark green background that strengthens the colors. Gold paint shines almost invisibly through some of the flowers and fruits.
The scene is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2006.
