Description: E. Miroshnichenko from the village of Fedoskino always creates unusual works. Very often his boxes are designed in an original manner, have uncommon shape and supplied with three-dimensional elements. Her fantasy has no limits, and sometimes her works look more like figurines than boxes repeating the shape of a clock or a dog. This work shows that she dares to experiment not only with a shape but also with a material.
This time Miroshichenko has painted the humorous scene on the thin papier-mache plate glued to the small sack made out of emerald velvety material. The scene shows a peasant who washes a swine in the bath-house. To paint it, the artist has used various shades of brown oils. Gold paint is used to create a nice pattern around the scene. The same papier-mache plate is glued to the opposite (rear) side of the sack. On this plate she has painted the pattern that imitates the turtle shell using various shades of brown oils; the edges of this plate she again adorned with a nice gold simple ornament.
The work is signed in gold with the name of the artist. This small sack may enrich your collection of lacquer boxes; it may be used as a purse and a talisman during the current year of swine.
The size of the painting part: 1.75x1.75x0.25 inches/ 4.5x4.5x0.5 cm.
