Description: The architectural beauty of St.-Petersburg that is often called "Russian Venice" inspires Vladimir Sindyukov to create more and more works. Here he depicts a small bridge across the Fontanka River.
St. Petersburg occupies the first place in Russia and one of the leading places in the world for the number of bridges. Nowadays in St. Petersburg there are more than 300 bridges, and more than 20 of them are drawbridges. The elegance of some bridges can be compared only to the beauty of the city architectural ensembles. The bridges of St. Petersburg have become an integral part of the city. Those who walked along St. Petersburg embankments and admired the beauty of drawn bridges are usually charmed with the individuality of Northern Venice.
The scene is framed with a nice gold pattern. The box's sides are decorated with a gold pattern supplied with the images of street lamps to imitate the bridge metal rail.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2007.
