This elegant box has been painted by Skripunova from the village of Fedoskino. It shows a portrait of an known woman wearing the bonnet. The portrait is framed with silver scan patterns; silver scan patterns also decorate the edges of the lid. Silver scan patterns composed of silver beads look very beautiful against the black lacquer of the box's surface.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the yeaar of 2007.
