This handsome piece of authentic Russian artistry was created by the talented Tatyana Tipyakova of Fedoskino. Art work that becomes a compliment unto itself. A truly fascinating example of landscape composition.
A combination of orange, yellow, pink and red toned oils creates the immensely realistic sunset while light blue tones of oils are used to paint the ice on the river. The forest drawn in the background, the grass, and some pieces of the cracked ice are highlighted with shining gold metal paint.
The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title ("Spring"), and the year of 2008.
