Description:

The famous canvas-on-oil painting called "The Night in Crimea. The View of Au-Dag" inspired Igor Buzovkin to create this box. Painted in 1850 by the famous Russian seascape painter, Ivan Aivazovsky, it is kept in the Art Museum of Odessa.
The edges of the lid and the box's sides are adorned with nice gold patterns.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2007.
