This beautiful summer landscape with an old oak has been drawn by Natalya Gogina. The scene is painted in the realistic style using various shades of green oils. It demonstrates the artist's impeccable painting technique as everything here is painted in diminutive brushstrokes that are absolutely invisible.
The box's sides are decorated with a gold scan pattern (made of tiny beads and scrolls hand punched from gold metal sheets, and then glued to the box manually).
The box is made out of high quality paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid isn't hinged and the box rests on four rounded legs. Signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2005 on the box's exterior bottom.
