This peaceful summer landscape is a creation of Nataliya Gogina. The scene is painted in earth tones, and seems to be filled with sunlight. The tiniest details are rendered with great subtlety to make the scene come alive.
Gogina was born in 1956 in the town of Ekaterinburg. Now she resides in the town of Zelenograd, Moscow Region. She worked at the Fedoskino factory of miniature art, at the Zhostovo factory of miniature painting and to at the Fedoskino Art School. She was given the honorary rank of "excellent worker of quality" (1988). Her works are exhibited in the Museum of Fedoskino Factory of miniature art and also they are kept in private collections.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box's sides are decorated with a nice gold pattern. The lid isn't hinged, and the box rests on four feet. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2003 on the box's exterior bottom.
