Miroshnichenko from the village of Fedoskino always creates unusual works. Very often the boxes of this artist are designed in an original manner, have uncommon shapes and supplied with three-dimensional elements. Her fantasy has no limits, and sometimes her works look more like figurines than boxes.
This is a balalaika-shaped box. It shows a humorous scene: two tipsy peasants are having fun; one of them is playing the balalaika, and another one is dancing to his accompaniment.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior is painted to imitate a balalaika, and the interior is covered with dark red lacquer. The lid is hinged. The work is signed with the artist's name.
