This peaceful landscape was pained by talented Igor Dunaev.
On this box we can see landscape which is typical for Russian countryside. It is filled with hills covered with fresh, green grass and bushes, the small river crossed by a small winding path running somewhere and the endless blue sky.
Different shades of green suitable for reproduction of a summer setting have been used here. Mother-of-pearl is inlaid into two parts of the composition. One of them is inlaid into the portion of the river, while another one is inlaid in the portion of the sky. With the help of mother-of-pearl the artist has achieved the beautiful effect of the sky's and the river's brilliance!
The exterior bottom of the box is covered with black lacquer and the box's interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The box is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2008 and Fedoskino.
