Igor Dunaev the artist who painted this summer landscape with a small wooden house built on the sunny meadow. Light green and blue tones predominate here. This rather monotonous palette is enlivened by a large shimmering piece of mother-of-pearl that is set into the sky. The box's exterior imitates a stone of malachite (green-silver veins and spots are scattered against the dark green background. The interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2008.
