This touching work has been created by Tatiana Levko. The box depicts a little angel holding a white dove in his hands. Both the angel and the dove symbolize innocence.
The scene is masterfully painted in light blue, brown and white tones. The outer edge of the lid is painted with a fine band of gold paint. The base of the box has two lines done in gold painted parallel to each other, the bottom line slightly thicker than the other.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2009 and the village of Fedoskino.
