This peaceful summer landscape is a creation of Yevgeniy Potekhin from the village of Fedoskino. A fisherman and his little son catch fish on the picturesque riverbank, and enjoy a warm sunny day. The scene is painted in the realistic style using various shades of green oils.
The box is constructed out of high-quality paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box and red lacquer is used to paint the interior of the box.
The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed by the artist.
