Valentinf Maslova from the village of Fedoskino is the creator of this splendid brooch. On the oval piece of mother-of-pearl the artist has painted her interpretation of the oil on canvas painting originally painted in the 1900s by Konstantin Makovsky. Named “Boyaryshnya”, this masterpiece is kept in the private collection.
The oval pearl plate on which the portrait is painted is set into the frame made out of German silver. The portrait is framed with swirling metal patterns. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2009.
