Artist Gennadiy Skripunov was born in 1923.
The box demonstrates the unique and impeccable painting style of Gennadiy Skripunov. Using his unique watercolor-like technique, he creates a spectacle for the viewer's eyes. To create a beautiful effect of the sun flooded meadows, the artist has covered this area with a shining gold metal powder. The rest part of the landscape is draw in various shades of green oils.
The edges of the lid, and the box's sides are decorated with simple gold patterns. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed by the author.
The box was painted in the middle of the 1960s when the artist was younger,and might be in his best ages.
