This round shaped box has been created by S. Brozhenkova from the village of Fedoskino. It features the interior of a Russian peasant house and its dwellers, an old man and an old woman. The scene is painted in various tones of oils. Some of the details are enhanced with brilliant gold paint.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box's exterior imitates a stone color while its interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The lid isn't hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the village of Fedoskino.
