This elegant portrait painted by a young Fedoskino artist, Olga Zayakina, shows a dreamy lady sitting on the bench in the summer park. The artist does an especially good job on the woman's face, creating a lifelike image with eyes that look dreamily at the distance and invite to imagine what thoughts are streaming through her mind at that moment. The skin tone is vividly realistic. The minute details found in her elegant dress are painted so intricately that it is a wonder a human hand can make such small strokes with a brush.
The box is made out of paper-mache made. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The box is signed with the artist's name.
