Description: This idyllic scene has been painted by Ekaterina Marochkina from the village of Fedoskino. Here we can see the happy family feeding a Turkey. Tender emotions are reflected on their faces. It's very hard to reproduce people's feelings painting with an ultra-fine brush. The interior of the room is filled with a lot of brilliantly painted details including the jars, the fire-place with the burning fire inside, various kitchen utensils hanging on the walls that make the composition complex and complete.
The scene is painted in rather dark oils as the action takes place in the badly illuminated room. The opened door that reveals a faraway panorama is drawn to create the depth of the depicted scene.
The scene is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name.
