This charming box has been painted by talented Fedoskino artist Golovchonkov Oleg. Oleg is a teacher in Fedoskino Art School. The box depicts a girl with a puppy on her hands. Near by we can see a broken jar with milk. The girl is trying to put bandage on the leg of the dog. Puppy is playing with a thread that a girl wanted to use.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. Gold line is used to frame the scene, whereas the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines. The lid is hinged to the left of the scene, and the box rests on four small round legs. The work is signed with the artist's initials G.O.
