This box was painted by a talented tandem of artists the Komogorovs Konstantin and Svetlana. The work is called "A Friend" and shows a young girl that became older might dream of her prince under the Moon, but her best friend is still a plush "Teddy Bear" or Kangaroo Toy from her childhood...
The scene is painted in smooth blue colors, showing the Night. The second part of the box is richly decorated with very detailed gold filigree.
The edges of the lid are adorned with a wide gold ornament that is extended on the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on four small feet. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, and the village of Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
