This charming box has been painted by talented Fedoskino artist Golovchonkov Oleg. Oleg is a teacher in Fedoskino Art School. The box depicts a young girl at the table. She looks very young and her beauty no need any make-up, so she is possibly still the powder from her Mom.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. Gold line is used to frame the scene, whereas the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines. The lid is hinged to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's initials G.O.
