The cheerful scene features two young Russian ladies dressed in the costumes of the 19th century.They are dressed in sarafans and wearing kokoshniks on their heads. Cheeks are red of rouge!
A gold line is passed around the sides of the box. The exterior of the box is covered with a blue mixture of colors that imitates a stone of blue marble.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition and the box rests flat. Signed with the name of the artist, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2008 to the leeft of the scene.
