This marvelous box was painted by Fedoskino artist Krasnoslobodtseva Lubov. The box shows two ladies came to a shoe repair workshops, giving a shoe to a worker.
The artist uses a dark yellow palette here. Red, pink, yellow, brown and olive tones of the girls' costumes contrast beautifully with the green background .Their bright costumes are well drawn over the aluminum powder.Gold is also used to decorate the sides of the box with the elegant ornament.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge above the scene and rests on a flat bottom. The Fedoskino factory "troika" logo can be found on the inside of the lid. The box is signed with the name of the artist, village and year (2003).
