Undoubtedly, this charming box painted by Taisia Danchenko from the village of Fedoskino will find its admirers among the dog-fanciers. It features a pieceful scene and a game of words: here "sharik" has two meaning-popular name of cub dog and a ball itself.The third meaning we can find on the bottom of the box- "sharik" can be also a baloon!
To paint this work Danchenko has used various tones of oils;but major is bright green.
The box is made out of paper-mache made. Bright green lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged, and the box sits flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title ("Sharik").
