This festive box called "Snowmaiden" has been painted by a talented artist Bobkova Zoya.
The scene is painted in bright oil paints to create a festal mood. Shining pieces of gold metal leaf in the costume of Snowmaiden and rich golden ornaments are used to underline the beauty of Snowmaiden. It is partly in the trees(to the left and to the right from Snowmaiden) , in her diadem and in her coat.

The painting is framed with a gold band.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, and the village of Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
