Talented Fedoskino artist Simonov Alexander has painted this peaceful scene with a deer family. With this box the artist has continue a series of the works with animals.
Here the artist has depicted a large male deer with horns and a female deer at the edge of the forest.The stems of grass and trees are painted out in a great detail, same as the figures of the animals.
The scene is painted in brown, blue, gray and green tones. A piece of mother-of-pearl can be found in the sky almost in the middle of the composition.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box.
The painting is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines are decorating the sides of the box.
The lid is hinged from the top of the painting and the box rests on the six legs, which comes from a wavy platform. The work is signed with the artist's name and 2017.
