Talented Fedoskino artist Nina Frolova has painted this box. The artist loves Russian nature and in each of her brilliant boxes she shows us her admiration aroused by the views of Russian countryside.
Small Russian village is immersed in the luxury of summer foliage, a quiet narrow river calmly carries its waters into a wide river. Birds are circling in the sky with small white clouds. A woman has collected water and is carrying two buckets on the shoulder-yoke along a dusty village road. The village houses and the domes of the village church are visible in the background. The composition radiates peace.
The image is very subtle and detailed!
The box's exterior is covered with black lacquers while the interior is covered with red lacquer.
The painting is framed with a gold line. The sides of the box are decorated with two parallel gold lines, one thicker than the other.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged, and rests on a wavy platform with legs. The work is signed with the name of the artist, Fedoskino, and the year of 2016.
