This peaceful landscape was pained by talented Alexander Simonov (born in 1960) from the village of Fedoskino. It features locality typical for Russian countryside in the middle of the Summer. It is filled with fields covered with grass and bushes with the dense of forest, the river running between the banks, and the endless blue sky with some clouds. A small wooden boat is pulled half to the bank of the river.
Different shades of green, brown and yellow suitable for reproduction of Summer day have been used here. One piece of mother-of-pearl is inlaid in the sky in the middle of the composition and another piece is in the waters of the river.
The scene is framed with a gold line, the sides of the box are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The exterior bottom of the box is covered with black lacquer and the box's interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests flat.
The box is signed with the artist's name and year of 2018.
