Description:

This extremely lifelike 19th-century style portrait is masterly executed by a well-established Fedoskino artist Fomichyov S.S. Skillful execution renders the portrait beautifully elegant. A classy palette of well-detailed color.
The young beautiful woman depicted in the composition, is taking a stroll in the park, holding her small dog in her hands. In the background the artist depicted a swan swimming on the blue, rippled surface of the lake and the thick forest.
The artist has painted the woman's complexion to look soft and rosy--more perfect than real life. Her brown eyes are made to look transparent, with perfect blending and highlighting. The woman's dress is authentic to the epoch, and is an appropriate ethnic shade of white and pinkish tones. White satin fabric, perfectly shaded and blended to create a smooth texture, and provides eye catching contrast and balance. The dog that is also painted realistically enriches the composition and makes it more complex. The park in the background creates the depth of the composition, and adds amazingly realistic effect.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The composition is framed with the elegant gold and aluminum filigree designs. The edges of the lid and the box's sides are decorated with skillfully painted gold and aluminum floral patterns. The box has a hinge fastened to the top of the composition and rests on six legs. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid and the sides are covered with sprayed crimson oil paint that acts like additionally ornamentation. It is signed with the artist's name, village and year (2002).
Note: This box has been made in the Art Workshop of Sergey Tyurin.
