The box is made out of paper-mache. The sides are covered with green oils and studded with light and dark green waving lines; it looks like the stone of malachite. The edges of the lid and the sides are covered with original floral patterns painted in gold. The scene is framed with a gold line. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box is hinged from the top of the composition and rests on four legs. The box is signed with the artist's name (Primush) village (Fedoskino) and year (2003).
