The composition is painted in gold and brown tones. Aluminum paint is used to paint a part of the stream depicted in the foreground, and the trees depicted in the background. Mother-of-pearl is inlaid in another part of the stream, and also it is used to create the beautiful sunset.
The box is constructed out of heavy and dense paper-mache. The exterior of the box is painted with black lacquer and the interior is painted with red lacquer. The sides of the box are decorated with original patterns composed of small pieces of gold metal foil. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition and the box sits flat. The box is signed with the artist's name and dated by 1999.
