Description: Olga Borisova, the artist from the village of Fedoskino, painted this portrait of a young beautiful girl. Borisova paints many different themes, but her favorite is portraits.
The girl's face is perfectly depicted, showing her liveliness and warmth. The entire portrait is painted on a piece of mother-of-pearl and framed with two parallel gold lines made out of gold metal leaf. It shines with the fire and iridescence of Australian Opal and shimmers, creating a bright spotlight for the girl.
From the left and the right of the portrait there are ribbons tied in a bow. This elegant decoration is made by means of gold metal leaf. The exterior of the box is of beautiful dark cherry color mixed with gold metal dust, while the interior is covered with the black velvety material.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition. The box can be locked by means of a gold metal needle. The box rests on four small rounded yellow metal legs. It is signed and dated (2005) by the artist at the bottom of the portrait.
The box is made in Workshops of Yuriy Chernobaevskiy.
