This box is a creation of artistic duet I. Ilyina and N. Ilyin. It shows a charming kitten sitting on the tree. The scene is painted in various shades of gray. Mother-of-pearl shines through the trunk of the three. Special attention should be paid to the box's ornamentation. The scene is framed with thin gold branches covered with the golden maple leaves. The sparkle of maple leaves is achieved by the gold metal leaf underlayer. The exterior of the box imitates the coloration of a stone. It is white and dotted with tiny blue blurry spots. The interior of the work is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition. The box rests upon a flat bottom. The work is signed with the names of the artists, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2006.
