Description: This originally shaped box is a creation of Alla Kozlova from the village of Fedoskino. Its shows Ivan Tsarevich and his bride standing against the background of Russian North expanses. The composition also includes the images of various animals: a deer, a fox and birds.
Mother-of-pearl shines through the figures of the characters. Gold powder highlights the sun. Aluminum powder highlights the characters' figures, the deer, and the birds. Gold metal leaf is used to decorate the characters' costumes, and also to detail the fox's fur, the deer's harness and the birds' breasts.
The box's exterior is covered with gray lacquer that tones with the gray-bluish palette of the scene. Its interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the village of Fedoskino in silver paint under the scene.
