This beautiful box featuring a small wooden church is a creation of Anzhela Mikhlyova from the village of Fedoskino. Each of her boxes is a little treasure, unique and collectable.
The composition consists of large mother-of-pearl and gold foil inlays, that is why it sparkles like a gem.
The box's exterior is covered with black lacquer, and decorated with original ornamentation; its interior is red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed by the artist.
