This peaceful summer landscape has been created by V. Sindyukov from the village of Fedoskino. It depicts the picturesque riverbank, and a small footbridge thrown across the river. The artist's painting technique is brilliant, his brushstrokes are invisible, and it seems that this landscape is painted in water-colors instead of oil paints. Gold paint highlights the river, the sky, the bridge, and some of the depicted bushes.
The box's sides are decorated with elegant gold ornamentation.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The Fedoskino "troika" insignia can be found on the interior of the lid. Signed with the artist's name.
