Roman Khokhlov from the village of Fedoskino painted this splendid box. It depicts the knight hugging the dying priest. The scene is painted in bright oil paints; gold paint shines through the knight's red cloak.
The scene is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2000.
