Description:

V. Sindyukov from the village of Fedoskino created this small attractive box. It shows the St. Isaak's Cathedral that is the main church in St. Petersburg.
The scene is painted in blue oils. Aluminum powder is used to highlight the sky. Mother-of-pearl shines through the tree painted from the left of the cathedral. The scene is extended on the box's sides where the artist continues to paint the summer landscape.
The exterior bottom of the box is covered with black lacquer mixed with gold dust. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2006.
