This stylish box is a creation of the talented Fedoskino artist Oleg Gavrilov. It depicts nestlings peeping out of a nest. The scene is painted in bright oils over gold metal paint that shines dramatically through the feathers of the nestlings. The oval shape of the box helps to imitate the shape of a nest. On the box's sides the artist has painted in lustrous gold paint innumerable number of twigs the nest is made out. The box's exterior is brown, and covered with bright gold blurry spots. Its interior is light green, and covered with dark green veins.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name on the box's interior bottom.
