Description: This interesting work created by the famous Fedoskino painter Svyatchenkov is an interpretation of the canvas-on-oil painting "The Still Life Mixed with the Landscape" painted by the popular modern Russian artist Mikhail Satarov.
Michail Satarov was born in 1963 in Moscow. He has been educated in Moscow Art School named in the Memory of 1905 and Moscow State Art Institute named after Surikov. M. Satarov's works have been exhibited many times in Russia and abroad - in Finland, Belgium, Germany. Many of his pictures are in private collections in more than thirty countries. The subjects of M. Satarov's paintings are mostly religious and mystical. The skill of the artist is based on his long study of the old masters' techniques of painting. His pictures are characterized by fine lines, exquisite colors and elaborate details. His painting itself is already another world, being out of reality.
The scene is painted in white and dark blue oils. Gold paint is used to highlight the samovar, the lamp and the trees drawn in the foreground. Silver paint creates brilliance of the water.
A line painted in white oils frames the scene; the same two parallel lines decorate the box's sides.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. The exterior of the piece is painted with black lacquer while the interior is painted with red lacquer. The lid is hinged at top, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, and the village of Fedoskino.
