This detailed portrait shows us one of the most popular Fedoskino themes—a portrait of a young girl dressed in traditional Russian costume.
A girl wears the warm yellow hat decorated with bright fur and the dark blue coat adorned with the big fur collar. The girl's face is elaborately drawn and pearl necklaces covered it'. Her flesh is slightly rosy. Rich red ornaments are coming from the shoulders down to a hand of a coat. Brown wool mittens are obviously hand made and also have intricate attractive ornament.
We can see winter snowy forest on the background of the box. The portrait and the sides of the box are decorated with golden lines.
The box was painted by Fedoskino artist Galina Dubovikova. The box is made out of paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the composition and rests on 4 legs. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box is signed with the artist's name.
