Description:

Natalya Gogina created this gorgeous view of Moscow Kremlin in XVII century. At this period the monarchic dynasty of Romanov started reigning in Russia replacing the Ryurik dynasty. This period is also characterized by the Polish invasion and the Time of Troubles.
The box's exterior is decorated with very beautiful gold scan patterns (composed of tiny shapes: beads, rhombs, scrolls punched from gold metal sheets, and glued to the box manually). On the box sides the gold scan forms an intricate ‘net' pattern. The box's sides are dark green, while the box's exterior bottom is traditionally covered with black lacquer. The interior is red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged at top, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the year of 2007, and the title (“Moscow Kremlin in XVII century”).
