This gorgeous box shows cupids hovering close to the huge apple tree in the paradise garden. The cupids and the tree are painted against the turquoise blue sky covered in puffy white clouds. In the middle of the scene the pearl-shell is set that is why this area of the composition is convex and repeats the shape of a shell. Pieces of mother-of-pearl also shine with green and pink undertones through the branches of the tree, through the apples, through the flowers and through the bunches of grapes. The scene is extended on the box's sides where a part of the tree, the sky and the flowers that shine with mother-of-pearl inlay are depicted. Some parts of the composition are decorated with gold dust, and some parts of the composition as the flowers and the grapes are crafted three-dimensionally. The exterior bottom of the box is of turquoise blue color painted as a continuation of the sky area. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box has a hinge from the top of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom.
