Vetrova has painted this appealing box that shows the maiden sitting among sunflowers. Gold paint creates brilliance of the sunflowers painted in the foreground. A shimmer of the maiden's costume is achieved with the help of mother-of-pearl inlay and silver powder. On the box's sides you can find one more scene that shows the sunflowers growing in the kitchen garden. This scene is drawn in blue greenish oils, and the sunflowers are highlighted with gold paint.
The box's sides imitate coloring of a stone (tiny blue veins are scattered against the white background). The red lacquered interior is decorated with light grey and gold blurry spots. The edges of the box's interior are outlined with silver paint.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the name of the artist.
