This work is painted by a well-known Fedoskino artist Antonov Viktor Danilovich. He used to be a teacher to several dozens of modern Fedoskino artists.
This interesting Fedoskino box shows peasant children having a rest after exhausting work in the field. A little shepherd plays his flute for a girl who looks in the distance meditatively. A splendid specimen of Fedoskino realism.
The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's initials (A.V.), and the year of 2007.
