One of the Top Fedoskino artists, Sergey Kozlov, created this gorgeous box. Here the artist depicts the Snowmaiden sitting on the log in the winter forest, and admiring small, twittering birds. The Snowmaiden is painted on one of the box's sides while the rest surface of the box's exterior is filled with the beautiful winter landscape. A large piece of mother-of-pearl that shines brightly with green and pink undertones is set into the sky behind the Snowmaiden's figure. Silver metal leaf creates brilliance of the patterns that decorate the Snowmaiden's coat. Gold paint is used to paint the birds, and to focus the viewer's attention on them. The firs and the trees are highlighted richly with shining silver powder.
The box's exterior bottom is light grey, while the box's interior is traditionally red. The bottom part of the box is adorned with a wide gold band.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2007 and the village of Fedoskino.
