Tatyana Dmitrieva is the artist who painted this beautiful box. It shows dreamy and romantic Pierrot who writes verses about love.
Blue and white tones of oils dominate here. Gold paint is used to enhance various details throughout the scene including the window painted behind Pierrot, some of the books, the floor, the guitar, the cushion Pierrot is sitting on and the stars painted in the left upper corner. The dark blue exterior of the box is decorated with golden stars and gold blurry spots. The interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2007, and the village of Fedoskino on the lid's interior.
