This charming box painted by Tatyana Dmitrieva shows the Joker holding playing cards in his hands. The Joker's costume is painted in bright and festive tones of oils over silver powder that helps to accentuate richness of the material the costume is made out of. Gold paint is used to detail the costume with shining ornaments. The background is drawn in pale tones of oils to focus the viewer's attention on the Joker.
The box's exterior imitates coloring of black marble (silver veins and blurry spots are painted over the box's black lacquredd exterior). The interior is traditionally red. The scene is framed with a gold line
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2007 on the lid's interior.
