This majestic view of the Christ the Saviour Cathedral and the Moscow Kremlin has been painted by Viktor Tretyakov. Blue tones of oils suitable for reproduction of a winter scene dominate here. The architecture is painted with photo quality accuracy. The surrounding winter landscape is painted with smooth watercolor like brushstrokes.
The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
